Family Respite Services works together with Children First to provide a sibling support group. This group is built on a "sibship" model. The children come together once a month to have fun, participate in games and crafts and share their experiences. Staff from the two agencies lead the group. The sibling support group is a way for siblings to share together and have opportunity to discuss in a fun way the challenges and opportunities provided to them by having a brother or sister with a disability. "Aunt Blabby" offers friendly advice to questions posed by the children. Families interested in this group can talk to their Family Coordinator.
