Family Respite Services

Family Respite Services was glad to be able to support 60 children to attend summer day camp this year at a variety of locations.  We are thankful to work in partnership with the YMCA, St. Clair College, the Town of LaSalle and the City of Windsor. Most of the children attended the community daycamps at those locations and FRS provided some support staff to assist the children to participate in these integrated community settings.  FRS also had a daycamp at our Weekend with Friends location.  What fun the children had!  Swimming, visiting local parks, cooking, playing games and catching bugs- what more could a child want!  We were happy to receive federal grants to hire staff to make this initiative possible.  Parents reported that they were thrilled with the experiences that their children had.  Now it's back to school!
